The short version

We don't have accounts, and we don't collect more than a purchase requires

There is no signup, no login, and no user database on this site today. Reading the free corpus requires nothing from you at all. Buying an ebook requires only what Stripe needs to process a card payment.

What we collect

Payment information

When you buy an ebook, checkout happens entirely on Stripe's own hosted page — your card details go directly to Stripe, never to our servers. We receive back an order record (which product, whether it was paid) and whatever contact information Stripe collects during checkout, such as your email if Stripe asks for one. We do not store card numbers, and we don't have the ability to see them.

After a successful purchase, this site generates a download link tied to your Stripe checkout session. That link identifies your order, not you personally, and is only usable to re-download the specific ebook you paid for.

Ordinary server logs

Like effectively every website, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard technical data for every request — IP address, browser type, the page requested, timestamps — for operating and securing the service. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site as of this writing.

What we don't do

No selling, no ad tracking, no dark patterns

• We do not sell your data to anyone, for any reason.
• We do not run third-party ad trackers or cross-site tracking pixels.
• We do not email you unless you've directly given us a reason to (e.g. a support request) — there is currently no marketing email list on this site.
• Stripe processes payments under its own privacy policy, which governs the card data it collects directly: stripe.com/privacy.
